The Champion's
Visual Identity

Overview
-Sandstorm, signed with Luminosity Gaming, the six-time world champion, and face of Brawlhalla e-Sports, reached out to me to reimagine his visuals. My goal was to create something that didn’t just represent him, but "felt" like him: a cold, commanding force that couldn’t be ignored.
The Challenge
-How do you visualize someone, whose skill and reputation already speak louder than words?
Translating Sandstorm’s legacy into a visual language meant finding the perfect balance between simplicity and intensity.
His main legend, Mordex, became the banner's focal point and it's energy representing a bleak, winter night: sharp, overwhelming, and sheer cold.
The Solution
-I took a big risk with choosing photomanipulation over basic, clean designs you see with every e-Sports graphics.
A choice that could have easily overwhelmed the design but restraint and trust in my vision made it work.
Each visual choice carried meaning:
The snow and ice represent fear, distance, and hopelessness, the kind of feelings you'd experience when going up against him.
The light and depth create motion, like a storm approaching rapidly, meaning impending doom.
The saturation and texture creating an overwhelming presence around the character.
The Result
The banner gained hundreds of likes and attention from the Brawlhalla e-Sports community. Solidifying not just his image, but mine as a designer capable of delivering under weight and expectation. Most importantly, it meant something personal: that I’m trusted even amongst the highest levels of legends.
